I've been using pandora.com to find music that I can stand listening to... most of the time this fails horribly but I still use it to find decent shit to dl.
Anyone else use it? if not what do you use to find new tunes? sirius? SPLAIN

I try to listen to the radio but the radio station out here are pretty lame. i have a friend who got XM and there was A LOT to listen to, I'm not sure its worth it for me to get it because i don't travel much in my car anyway.

my sister had xm and i really liked it. i thought it would be stupid, but there's a lot of good stations on it. but i still don't think its worth it since i'll only listen to it in the car.

i tried it. a few of my co-workers use it and they say they really like it. It's helpful, but most of the songs they recommend are bands/artists i know already.

I really do not use anything. Just get recommendations. Then I check them out.

I was trying pandora today and it's pretty nifty. I wonder how the backend works, like how they determine what sounds like what.

"There are 2,000 focus traits. Examples of these are rhythm syncopation, key tonality, vocal harmonies and displayed instrumental proficiency."
that and you could always click the little triangle and then click "Why did you play this song?"
There's a home docking station for the xm and sirius radio, you can just play it in your house or in your car.
